It is really a pity,

This part of our forum should be a very good opportunity to improve the 'monster passion' throught all over Europe and, why not, wrldwide....

So please let' s try to push our 'Ducati passion' as mutch as we can, in order to find more and more friends outside of Italy!

That' s true my friend, but here in Italy it seems to be very difficult to find out some mid aged 'biker' that speaks a little bit of english!

What do you mean talking about a "mid aged biker"?
Why you don't talk just about biker? I think that the passion don't know age. Don't you?

If you were at Bra in 2004 maybe you remember a guy from Frankfurt, who join us for just a few kilometers (near the restaurant). So i've tried to make him join the Forum too, but i've never see him....and in that place wasn't effective lack of website advisements.
Maybe that low rate of foreigner friends has due to the fact that we also are less involved in foreigner forum, and we aren't knowed. That's my impression.
Whatherwer, i always try to involve anybody i know in this reality, it's a real good thing to find out people that otherways had been lost 'cause for the distance.

True..when with Mansell we decided to open this section the aim was to attract foreigners, but with little succes also due to the limited number of members answering in English....

Now maybe things will get better...

I think that to attract foreigners, we've not only to talk more english, but also to give (maybe) arguments that can attract them, like tech ones.... I mean that it's good to make friends and talk whit them, but also give their valuable information that can bring them there for various interest.
I'm talking for myself, indeed, but when i join there, i was attracted at first by theese arguments, and just later for the good company.
That's just a suggestion, not a critic.
Always glad to help the growt of all this.

Suggestions are always welcomed. Bottom line is that we never really had a consistent number of people visiting this section.
One of the reason could be that since the English "flag" is not immediately visible while open the web site, a potential member just assumes that it is an Italian speaking only club.

Please feel free to suggest any idea that may lead to an improvement of this section.

Hi there!
I'm not a biker so maybe my view is a bit like outside the real needs of bikers, but I think people from other countries can find technical suggestions almost everywhere. I don't really think italian technical "experts" can give much more than other countries' ones - especially if they aren't confident with english!
I'd rather suggest to focus on specific "italian" tips that are useful and interesting for foreign bikers visiting this forum, i.e. routes suggestions, accomodations, events a.s.o.
No-one can show the beauty of riding through Italy better than italian bikers themselves... [SM=x35577]

in my opinion the first step to conquer public all over Europe (or whyz not all over the world) is having a bilingual website. When someone look for information about Ducati and find only italian explanation just look for another webside ignoring that we're the beste ever [SM=x35578]

See you soon!

Hi! well Granger is in Northen Indiana two hours South of Chicago. I learned Italian in Italy, I spent twenty years there. Calabria, Lombardia, Piemonte e Toscana... I'm 31 years old my parents moved to Italy when I was 3 and moved back in the USA at the age of 23. I hold dual citizenship US and Italian. I served in the Italian Army FOLGORE!! with a stint in Somalia in 93, and now I serve as a Police Officer here in Northen Indiana.
Yes I did mention this site on the DML.. I love my Monster...

hi all,

i can now give you a very good indication as to why many people may not participate from outside Italy so much. it took me a very long time to figure out how to register because everything is in Italian. i guess it was a little easier for me because i am French but i can imagine the average foreigner getting very discouraged very fast with the registration hurdles.

that being said, i gave it a go because i want to know if there is a DMC chapter in Canada.

Peace!

Ciao James!
The only instruction you need to know to publish pictures of your iron lady (I guess Gloria will be enough, be careful with all these latin lovers... [SM=x35654] ) is to open and close the path of the picture - which should be web-resident - with the img tag in square brackets: [ img ] and [ /img ] (no spaces, of course!)

See ya! [SM=x35577]
